Mark J. Stone is a senior partner in the law firm of Katz &
Stone, and specializes in representing contractors, subcontractors
and owners involved in construction disputes. Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Engineering from Princeton University, and a Juris Doctor degree
with high honors from the National Law Center of George Washington
University.
Mark is a member of the Bars of Virginia, New York, and the District
of Columbia, the United States Supreme Court, the United States
Court of Federal Claims, the United States Court of Appeals for
the Fourth and Federal Circuits, the Supreme Court of Virginia,
the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western
Districts of Virginia, the United States Bankruptcy Court for
the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the District of
Columbia Court of Appeals, the Federal District Court for the
Southern District of New York, and the Appellate Division of the
Supreme Court for the Second Judicial Circuit of New York.
Before practicing law, Mark worked as a mechanical engineer in
the construction industry, specializing in the design, specification
and inspection of heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems.
Mark has a broad range of experience in dealing with contractors,
subcontractors, suppliers, owners, architects, engineers and sureties.
